Just a reminder and I'm rambling.

Remember that my "created by..." Plaque giveaway will end tomorrow at 10 pm. Funny how I said "remember", since I forgot to ever mention when the giveaway would end. So consider this an announcement that the giveaway will end tomorrow (Sunday) at 10 pm Utah time. If you haven't entered, please be sure to do so!
I will announce the winner on Monday morning, so stay tuned.

I wish I had an exciting project or something fun to share with you, but regrettably, I do not. Right now I have about a MILLION projects going on. Please, someone, tell me I'm not the only one who starts something and only gets about half done before another project catches your eye, you run out of supplies, or other things get in the way of finishing it. I guess I need to just focus on one thing and finish it before I even start anything new.

Yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby, which was a big reason for all of the new projects. I just LOOVE that store. My creative juices start flowing the minute I pull into the parking lot. And lucky for me, my kids actually behave pretty well in that store, so I love it! My Hobby Lobby has bunches of plastic grapes everywhere (it's kind of weird), and my 3 year old thinks it's the funniest thing to pretend to pick some off and eat them. He even shares his imaginary grapes with his little sister, which is awesome! Aren't they cute? Please excuse the fuzzy iphone picture.

My favorite section is the fabric section. They have got some cute stuff, and it's pretty good priced usually. I learned a big lesson while at Hobby Lobby yesterday, though. Never go fabric shopping without your mom or sister or a trusty old friend. I wanted to get some fabric for a project, and I was having a hard time choosing colors that coordinated. So, I asked the fabric lady and she tried really hard to help me. I also noticed another woman getting some cute stuff, and so between the two of them, I got the same stuff the other lady did... When I got to the car, I pulled it out and about gagged. UCK! It was NOT me. Yeah, I pretty much hate it. So.... on my way home I stopped at my VERY favorite, trusty fabric store, Sew and Save, and picked up a few yards of fabric I had been eyeing there for a few weeks. And guess what? It didn't even make me gag. I started sewing with it last night and the more I see it, the more I love it! Isn't it good when fabric does that for you? Here's a sneak peak of what I'm making. I'll show you the finished product next week!

I should have been finishing my thrift store stuff instead of fabric shopping, but it has not been good weather for spray painting, so they will have to wait.

*sigh*

Thanks for letting me ramble to you. This blog is like a new friend, who listens to me. Although, by this point, some of you probably want to stop listening, I really love that you visit my blog.

Well, I'm off. We will be photobooth-ing tonight. Have I ever mentioned that The Mr. and I own a photobooth company? Well, we do, and it's really fun to take to weddings and such. We are starting to get busy again as wedding season approaches, and it's always nice to spend a night with The Mr. at a wedding reception. Here is the sign I made to hang on the photobooth for them. Always something cutesy and crafty, right? I love the grey against the white, looks so clean.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway! And tell your friends!

  1. Too funny, I have a bunch of unfinished projects laying around. I saw the cutest thing the other day on a blog for a photobooth at a wedding it was chalkboard speech bubbles. It was really cute but I can't remember which site I saw it in.
