What is a Corduroy Dream?

Hello there.

Welcome to my new blog.

I can't sleep tonight {it is now 12:33 am}. I was up thinking about what I wanted to do with my life... ha! Sounds so cliche! Of course I am completely happy being a wife and mother, but I need something that is mine. It just seems like nothing belongs to just ME anymore... know what I'm saying?

My toothbrush seems to be public territory since I have seen both of my children put it in their mouths this week, I cannot shower without a little game of peek-a-boo, and of course, my super cute, turquoise purse has turned into the family diaper bag.

Is it so bad to want something for me? Something I enjoy to put my time and energy (and the Mr.'s $$ into).

Good, I'm glad we are all on the same page.

So, here it is. My crafty design blog. It might not be much, but I hope you'll follow along with me. 

Oh, and why is it called "Corduroy Dreams"????

Well, as I was laying in bed {about 3 hours ago}, I came up with a few really cute names for this blog, then I googled them, and... let's just say some of my "cute" blog names were more like "racey" stripper names.

Then it came to me! My 3 year old son used to have a corduroy bed set, comforter, pillow, and all {a hand me down from the Mr- yup, it was his before we got married.} So when my little boy would wake up, he would always have stripes on his cheeks, which would last for HOURS. So I came up with "Corduroy Dreams", because the time I get to create most often is while my babies are having "Corduroy Dreams". Ahhh, so sweet.

Now I need to get myself used to spelling corduroy right!
